Lindsay Clancy Juror Speaks Out After Mistrial Ruling

Juror Breaks Silence on Lindsay Clancy Mistrial

Michael P. Desronvil, the juror who held out during the highly publicized trial of Lindsay Clancy, has addressed the media following the case’s declaration of mistrial earlier this month.

“I know the whole focus has been on me but we want to reel the whole thing back and put the focus on the three angels [Clancy’s three children],”

Desronvil, 48, expressed during a video interview with Fox News’ Hannity on September 28. He emphasized the need to advocate for Clancy’s children, stating,

“[They] are the ones who can’t speak for themselves. The ones that can’t defend themselves. The ones that can’t fight their own battles.”

Desronvil also expressed gratitude for his Catholic faith and the support he received during the ordeal, saying,

“I want to thank God for my Catholic faith. I want to thank God for giving me the ability to love my daughter. Foremost, I would like to thank everyone — every individual — that has supported me throughout this difficult situation. Your prayers, your emotional support, your psychological support is tremendous [for] my heart.”

He concluded his remarks with a heartfelt appreciation, stating,

“I do want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Mistrial Declared in High-Profile Case

On September 4, Massachusetts Superior Court Judge William F. Sullivan officially declared a mistrial in the Clancy case after the jury reported being deadlocked and unable to reach a unanimous decision regarding the deaths of Lindsay Clancy, 36, and her three children — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months — in January 2023.

During the trial, Clancy’s attorney, Kevin Reddington, did not dispute that she killed her children but argued that she should not be held criminally responsible due to her struggle with postpartum psychosis. In contrast, prosecutors maintained that Clancy was fully aware of her actions at the time of the tragedy.

Controversy Surrounds Jury Deliberations

Following the mistrial announcement, allegations emerged regarding the jury’s deliberation process. Several jurors indicated that Desronvil was the only one who prevented a verdict of not guilty by reason of insanity for Clancy.

Desronvil’s attorney, Edward Paltzik, defended his client amid criticism, labeling him an

“American Hero and Champion of Justice.”

Paltzik also noted that Desronvil has faced death threats and vowed to pursue legal action against those who have harassed him.

Paltzik stated,

“[Michael] loves the United States of America as the greatest country in the world; cherishes our sacred Constitution as the pinnacle of human liberty; and supports our amazing leader, President Donald J. Trump, as a fellow defender of common-sense, liberty, and sanity.”

He further emphasized Desronvil’s resilience, asserting,

“[Desronvil] has persevered and remains utterly unbroken thanks to his devout Catholic Faith. As a devoted father and man of God, he will not be defeated or shattered by the wicked who wish harm upon him.”

In the aftermath of the trial, it was revealed that Desronvil has a history of legal issues. In 2021, he was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence assault following an incident with his then-wife, though the charges were subsequently dropped. In 2025, he faced another legal challenge when his teenage nephew obtained a restraining order against him after an alleged attack.

In response to these revelations, Reddington filed a motion requesting access to Desronvil’s juror questionnaire and records from the statewide domestic violence registry, along with his mobile phone records during the jury’s deliberation period from August 27 to September 4.

A status hearing regarding the case is scheduled for September 29.
