Diddy Faces Extended Prison Stay Following Violations

Sean Combs’ Release Date Extended Amid New Controversies

Sean “Diddy” Combs recently faced a challenging weekend that included a hospital visit after being transferred from FCI Fort Dix. This incident adds to a series of setbacks for the music mogul, whose anticipated release has now been postponed by nearly two months.

Contraband Violations Lead to Extended Incarceration

Combs, the founder of Bad Boy Records, is currently under scrutiny following reports of luxury items and contraband within the prison. His release date has shifted again, now set for March 2, 2028, after a sanction of over 40 days was imposed due to numerous violations.

Originally sentenced to 50 months in September 2025 for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, his release date had fluctuated, with a previous projection of January 21, 2028.

Serious Consequences for Combs

In early October, sources from the Bureau of Prisons indicated that Combs would face significant repercussions for smuggling a smartphone into the facility, as well as possessing alcohol and employing other inmates. Following these violations, he was placed in solitary confinement, though it remains unclear if he has since returned to the general population.

Health Concerns Arise

On October 10, Combs was transported to a local hospital due to a head injury. Details regarding the circumstances of this incident are sparse, and the Bureau of Prisons has not provided additional information about his current medical status. Reports confirm that Combs was returned to Fort Dix shortly after the hospital visit.

“We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances,” said Juda Engelmayer, Combs’ representative. “Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out.”

In addition to his prison term, Combs is contending with multiple civil lawsuits and a potential sexual battery indictment from the Los Angeles District Attorney. Two years ago, he was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges in a high-profile Manhattan trial, where the prosecution failed to convince jurors of the more severe allegations against him. Had he been found guilty, Combs could have faced a life sentence.
